In the Early Intermediate Grades at St. James Catholic School, our 7- and 8-year-old students continue to grow as confident, independent learners. Building on the strong foundation established in the primary years, students deepen their skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, working toward mastery at a pace that supports their individual learning needs.

Project-based learning takes center stage in science and social studies, allowing students to explore real-world topics through inquiry, collaboration, and creativity. These hands-on experiences encourage critical thinking and problem-solving while helping students see the relevance of what they learn in the classroom to the world around them.

In a supportive, faith-filled environment, students also continue to develop important life skills — responsibility, teamwork, and respect for others — preparing them for continued success in the upper grades and beyond.
